ABATE of Greene County Monthly Newsletter for February 2012:

President's Report

Hey everyone, it's another month closer to ridin' season and I can't wait. All these warm days really get me thinkin' about ridin'. I travel in Connecticut a lot and see a lot of people ridin' over there.
We had our Cabin Fever Party and the food was excellant again. Thirty-one (31) people showed up and we all had a good time. We played some more Hammerschlagger and we had a blast. The night was pretty calm and relaxed and we all got to spend a lot of time talking. W are getting some more ideas for rides this summer.
We had our meeting before the party. We are planning on entering a few parades this year and hope some of you can join us. The chapter decided to purchase a mobile sign for Motorcycle Awareness. We hope to help advertise awareness and our events.
Well, I hope to see ya all soon and remember the Freedom Rally is just around the corner.

Here's some fun stuff:

An older couple were lying in bed one night. The husband was falling asleep but the wife was in a romantic mood. She said, "You used to hold my hand when we were courting." Wearily, he reached across, held her hand for a few seconds and then tried to get back to sleep. A few moments later she said, "Then you used to kiss me." Mildly irritated, he reached across, gave her a peck on the cheek and settled down to sleep. Thirty seconds later she said, "Then you used to bite my neck." Angrily, he threw back the covers and got out of bed. "Where are you going?" she asked. "To get my teeth!"

One More:

A man is sitting on the veranda with his wife and he says, "I love you." She asks, "Is that you or the beer talking?" He replies, "It's me talking to the beer!"

Kathy's Korner

Hi everyone - Hope all is well. Hey, we're one month closer to spring! As your Newsletter Officer, I'm trying to imrove on our newsletter format and getting as much information out there to you as I can. I'm hoping you're enjoying this one. Please - if anyone has suggestions, feel free to send them to me. Those of us who went to the Cabin Fever Party had a great time. It was awesome to go to a party and not have to work at it. Blackthorne puts out a wonderful feast. That's it for now - Hope to see more of you at our meetings as the weather gets nicer. Take Care!
